Is your PC slow to boot? If that's the case, then I’m glad you’ve found this article because I’m going to offer you some easy tips that will help your PC to boot up faster. In the next few paragraphs I'm going to cover startup programs, RAM, hard disk fragmentation, and registry optimization.

Software That Loads On Windows Startup

First things first, you need to investigate what programs are starting automatically with Windows. There are a number of freeware programs out that that can clean your startup programs. However, you should also check the Startup folder on the Start menu. Click Start, All Programs, Startup, and delete any programs that you don’t need to start up automatically.

It’s also worth reviewing all the installed programs on your computer, and uninstalling any that you no longer use. To do this, go to Start, Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.

Do You Have Enough RAM?

Often, you RAM memory will get full up as you run more and more programs. Sometimes, this memory stays in use even once the program has supposedly closed down. To free up this RAM, you can use a free program called FreeRAM XP Pro, which is available for free download. Just type it into Google.

Defrag Your Hard Disk

As you use your hard disk, over time it tends to get "fragmented", which means that the files get stores in lots of little chunks on different places on the disk. This can slow down your PC.

To defragment your hard disk, go to My PC, right click on your hard drive, go to Properties, Tools, and then click Defragment Now. If you are a heavy pC user, try to do this about once a week.
Author Resource:- Most PC problems can be fixed simply by doing a registry scan. There are many registry fixing programs, and some are a lot better than others. For help in choosing the best registry scanner go to Registry Fixers now.
